Our JL Summit Rear Bumper is a perfect complement to the styling of the JL. We have designed this bumper with precision attention to detail and have included all the bells and whistles to provide you with the best product to protect your Jeep. Don’t worry about having to purchase any additional license plate relocation brackets, lighting or park assist sensor mounts. It’s all included for a one stop purchase with a simple and clean installation. If you have the factory hitch receiver and trailer plug terminals you don’t have to remove them or modify them in any way as our bumper is designed to install cleanly overtop of them.
If you ever decide to add our swingout tire carrier in the future, this bumper is already prepped for it.
The Summit rear bumper is designed to have the factory park assist sensors re-mounted into the bumper with no modification to the sensors or wiring harness. We provide the grommets and specially designed stainless-steel mounting clip brackets. If you do not have part assist sensors then we also include low profile plastic hole plugs that will nicely match the textured powder coat finish.
Unlike so many other JL bumper designs we have designed a recessed license plate mount. We did this so that you don’t have to relocate it to the spare tire or to the top of the bumper. It remains in the factory position and is fully protected from any offroad obstacles. Also included with the bumper is a bright white LED license plate light that is hidden behind a flange for an exceptionally clean look.
As with all Hyline Offroad products these are designed and built with superior durability and longevity in mind. We put all bumpers and accessories through a comprehensive finishing process that includes an acid rinse for prepping the metal, then E-Coated which acts as a complete sealing primer and finally a topcoat using an automotive grade powder coat. The powder topcoat is a light texture black semi-gloss that closely matches the OEM black plastic fender flare texture. Though this is a more expensive process it ensures your purchase will last for years to come.
***FITMENT NOTE*** It may be necessary to purchase a relocation bracket kit to re-mount your stock spare tire in order to fit with the bumper if the Hyline Swingout Tire Carrier is not purchased. We do not offer a relocation bracket kit but there are several other manufacturers that do. We recommend the Teraflex Relocation Bracket kit Part Number 1909200.
